Those who know me, know I love to create custom content and mods for games, especially The Sims games. And generally speaking I am quite good at it too, if I say so myself. I think the fact that I'm such a perfectionist surely helps in the quality I produce.
Unfortunately the past few years have been challenging on a personal level. And I've not been able to do anything for 4 months in my office, because of the fire. Now that I've returned, I have plenty to catch up on. But you know me, I can't wait to try something new. A while ago I got Paralives. I couldn't play it yet, but I knew I was going to play eventually. This week it finally happened, I made my first attempt at creating a mod for Paralives!
I think I will be publishing some new textures for the game soon. Think wallpapers, floors, rugs, paintings maybe? Don't expect any new exciting meshes anytime soon though. I don't really have the headspace and time for this. I still have a lot of catching up to do, and a lot of hobbies as it is.
The modding process seems a bit harder than for The Sims 2 or The Sims 4, for example. I'm sure I'll get used to it more over time. I remember even making wallpapers and flooring was a struggle in the very beginning after The Sims 4's release. This was before we had the Sims 4 Studio tool to work with.
I made this circle pattern (based off the Solar Flare carpet in The Sims) for The Sims 4 a few years ago. And I recreated it for Paralives since it's a relatively simple pattern. I do like the outcome!
