
I was today years old, when I learned what a conker is, and that it is not the same as a chestnut. See, in Dutch we have the same name for them (kastanjes). The main difference would be that a chestnut is a “tamme kastanje” and a conker would be called a “paardenkastanje” or “wilde kastanje” and the latter is poisonous, as it contains a chemical called aesculin. Wow.
But I enjoyed drawing this! And I learned something new.
