An illustration of a glass window up close, with water droplets all over, and a blurry landscape in the background. The sky is overcast, grey with a few white and dark blue patches. There are green and yellow trees in the distance
Cosytober 2024, day 20: Rain

Completely different from yesterday’s style and theme. I debated doing a whimsical piece for this. But I didn’t have 4-5 hours to spare. This piece took approximately 1,5 hours.

I took inspiration from a few photos I took during the most recent stay (for my youngest son) at the Children’s Hospital. During meal times hubby and I would go to the Ronald McDonald house to eat and grab some things in our room. And whilst I was walking upstairs, I looked at the windows, and they were covered in water droplets from the rain. I took some photos and they turned out to be very decent!

For today’s illustration I did not mimic the placement of each droplet. No, I just started drawing shapes and turned those into water droplets. The background was very much inspired by the photos I took that day.
