Last year’s version of Cosytober was quite successful. Many people joined in, and I’m grateful for that!
This year I intended to share the prompt list sooner, but unexpected real life stuff got in the way. I managed to share the list though! Let’s try it again this October 😍
If you need more info on what Cosytober is:
Cosytober is a cosy drawing/painting challenge that takes place in October. It is inspired by lists such as Inktober, but more cosy in every sense of the word. The prompts/subjects are cosy, there is no pressure to create and share daily, you are free to join in with other forms of creativity besides drawing/painting, just as long as it’s human-made! So no AI please, let’s celebrate actual human art.
Here are the prompts:
- Comfy
- Fungi
- Acorn
- Friend
- Yellow
- Star
- Apple
- Sprinkles
- Umbrella
- Pink
- Scarf
- Jumper
- Bear
- Pattern
- Squirrel
- Orange
- Bag
- Tree
- Love
- Bird
- Family
- Cosy
- Festive
- Seafoam
- Flower
- Game
- Cloud
- Hot Chocolate
- Deer
- Costume
- Trick or Treat
Whether you like sketching, drawing or painting digitally or traditionally, everyone can join in! Maybe you prefer cross stitching, sewing, modelling clay or paper crafts. As long as it's creative and created by you! Everyone is free to participate.
PLEASE NOTE: Because several other accounts on Instagram are hosting different versions of Cosytober this year, it is incredibly confusing and nearly impossible to go through the hashtag. So PLEASE TAG ME if you want me to see, like and share your art! If you don’t tag me, I will not be able to see it in all the chaos.
Tag me (I'm @RosieSoCosy on all the socials) and use hashtag #cosytober2025 so I and others can find your work! And don't worry about having to do all of them. I know the pressure prompt lists can give, and I want this to be fun and cosy. So do whatever works for you. ❤
You can follow my own progress along (and share yours too) on Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, Mastodon and Cara!
On top of the above socials, I will share my own entries here on the blog, and in our Cosy Corner Discord. So if you aren't there, and you'd like to share it there, feel free to join! After clicking the language flag the channel should appear under General, and it's called 🎃cosytober
Happy Cosy Spooky Season!
