OMG I am so excited! We're currently staying at family, visiting lots of places and doing a variety of activities. One of which, you probably wouldn't have guessed if it hadn't been for the title and photo, is visiting IKEA!

What's so special about visiting IKEA?

Well I mean, we have one nearby where we live, but I just don't go very often.

Back in February hubby gave me AFTONSPARV bear for my birthday, which really surprised me. I was happy with it, don't get me wrong. But I hadn't told him about my plans to get AFTONSPARV items, and yet he went and got the bear anyway!

I ordered a bunch of items and he went to pick them up with my father in law, and then surprised me with the bear.

I promised myself I'd get more items from the series later on.

And that moment was now. I went to IKEA twice (!) this week. The first time I went with Lisanne, and I bought the big AFTONSPARV alien for myself/our living room, along with some other items. And I got smaller aliens for all the boys. They all loved them. But then Seth wanted a big one too, but I knew Quinn and Levi wanted the big alien too, and I wanted to make them happy. So in the end, I went back to IKEA with Lisanne and Seth, and now we all have the big aliens. I had to take a family photo lol!

Besides the aliens we now also have the LED planet shape lamp, the space bunny, space cat, UFO, planet cushion, colouring paper roll, desk pad, earth plush and finger puppet set. Along with the AFTONSPARV boxes we got earlier this year we have a very nice space collection of spacey goodies all around. With a space nerd dad and playful kids, it has added a lot of fun to the living area. 👽🚀

The only thing I regret is not getting the colourful AFTONSPARV storage box. We already had 2, but we needed a third. And it seems they have run out. Since it's a limited edition, I highly doubt it'll return. Maybe I can find it second hand someday.

I am considering getting the boys new AFTONSPARV duvet covers, as well as a new rug from the same series, and the rocket lamp. But it'll have to wait a bit. Maybe later during the fall. August has been pretty expensive already so it's probably best to wait for a bit.

Do you also have AFTONSPARV items? Are you as obsessed with them as we are? I noticed there is a huge fan base of the alien plushies.
